Xu Jian, general manager of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach), paid an official visit to Guangzhou and met with leaders of Guangdong province and the capital city from Jan 28 to 30, seeking strategic cooperation between the company and city. 

On Jan 28, Xu Jian met with Chen Zhiying, a member of the standing committee of the Guangzhou municipal committee of the CPC, and expressed his gratitude to Huangpu district for its support of the two member companies of Sinomach (Guangzhou Mechanical Engineering Research Institute Co and China National Electric Apparatus Research Institute Co).

On Jan 29, Xu met with Ma Xingrui, deputy secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee. Xu gave a brief on potential cooperation between Sinomach and Guangzhou. Ma expressed his gratitude to Sinomach for its contribution to the economic and social development of Guangdong province, and he expressed his support to the strategic cooperation between them. Ma said he hopes Sinomach would make greater contributions to the transformation and upgrading of the province’s equipment manufacturing industry by beefing up its investment. 

Xu also met with Chen Jianhua, mayor of Guangzhou, and Zhou Yawei, vice-mayor, on that day. They had a broad discussion on the cooperation and reached a consensus to improve it. The strategic agreement they have drafted includes various programs.

First, it will strongly promote the establishment of the China (Guangzhou) Intelligent Equipment Research Institute. Second, it will hold the exhibition of the China (Guangzhou) International Automotive Components and its aftermarket show. Third, it will establish a testing center of Guangzhou new-energy automobiles. Fourth, it will set up the Sinomach southern automobile sales base..
