With the theme “New Chance, New Platform”, the China-Belarus Local Economic and Trade Forum was held in Minsk, capital of Belarus on May 11.

Chinese President Xi Jinping makes a keynote speech at the China-Belarus Local Economic and Trade Forum held in Minsk on May 11.

The forum is an economic activity of the highest level and the largest scale since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belarus 23 years ago. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko made keynote speeches.

About 450 participants attended, including representatives from all seven states of Belarus, officials from eight Chinese provinces and cities, and business people from the two countries.
Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China National Machinery Industry Corp (Sinomach), Xie Biao, deputy general manager of Sinomach, and Luo Yan, chairperson of the China CAMC Engineering Co Ltd also attended the forum.
